Camera connectivity

The Uplink camera plug-in or Gateway module connects to the “uplink” ELB and establishes a secure websocket (WSS). The processing instances are dynamically assigned to the camera and the use the WSS to tunnel all requests to the camera.

The Uplink camera plug-in or Gateway module initiates the connection and only requires port 443.

Connection from client

The client software connects to the “web” ELB for API calls over HTTPS. Media data is retrieved over HTTPS (port 443). There are also options to retrieve live video over WebRTC and RTMPS.
