Customer Name identifies this deployment when a hybrid VMS gateway is created. The app uses it to build the gateway address and to register the gateway with the hub.
Customer Name
The name of this customer deployment. It must not contain spaces.
The field loads with the current saved value. If nothing has been saved yet, it may show the name configured for the deployment.
Example: acme with an instance name of site1 produces this gateway address:
https://gateway.site1.acme.cloud-vms.com/
The same name is sent to the hub as customer_name when that gateway’s hub group is registered.
A hybrid VMS gateway cannot be created until Customer Name is set. If it is empty, gateway creation stops and asks you to set it in App Settings first.
Save
The new value is used the next time a hybrid VMS gateway is created. Gateways that already exist keep the address they were created with.

Save does not store the value until this check passes:
