Camera Plans

Camera plans are assigned directly to cameras, with AI credits that are consumed only by that camera while the plan is assigned. It is used to enable recording on cameras and set retention time. It also gives that camera it’s own pool of AI credits it can use if the user does not have account wide credits available.

When adding a new plan, there are 5 inputs

  • Plan Name - This is the name customers will see when assigning this plan to cameras. They don’t have access to the plans specifications, so the name needs to be clear and descriptive such as “30 days continuous recording with 1000 monthly AI credits”

  • Price (dollars) - The prices that will be set for 1 copy of this plan (not currently in use)

  • Retention time (days) - This indicates the number of days records from this camera will be kept in storage until they are removed

  • Recording mode - there are 3 options for this field,

    • On - continuous recording, no gaps in storage.

    • Off - no records kept

    • By Event - records will only start when there is a camera event detected such as motion. This option is used when trying to keep storage costs low

  • AI Credit - the amount of tokens this plan will allocate to a camera for GenAI actions (Alerts and Search)

Account Wide Plans

Account wide plans are plans that allocate a number of AI credits that is able to be used by the users whole account, rather than per camera. When an account wide plan is applied to a user, they are able to create Alert Rules and Searches on any camera connected to their system.

When adding new plans of this type, there are only 2 inputs, plan name and AI credit. Again, it is important that the plan name be clear and descriptive as to not cause confusion about how many credits are allocated by a specific plan.
